Introduces dancers to methods designed to help them better cope with challenges unique to their art form.

Creates and fosters a community of like-minded performers who are mastering their minds as well as their technique.

Incorporates current research and strategies from licensed therapists to address and explore topics such as perfectionism, body image, resilience, self-talk, identity, and focus.

Dancers spend hours every day training their bodies and honing their craft, but there is little to no attention paid to training their minds as well. Many dancers struggle with anxiety, perfectionism, depression, negative self-talk, and maintaining a positive body image. The old adage that a dancer should “leave their problems at the door” of the studio is not serving the dance community. It’s time to make a change. It’s time to open the doors of the dance studios and begin to foster conversations that will create future generations of healthy dancers – inside and out.
