Michelle Loucadoux
Michelle Loucadoux Fraser is a multi-hyphenate, multi-passionate artist and educator. She has performed in five Broadway musicals including playing the role of Hope Harcourt with Sutton Foster and Joel Grey in the Tony award-winning Anything Goes, originating the Broadway cast of The Little Mermaid as Adella and eventually playing the title role of Ariel, performing the role of Babette in Beauty and the Beast, originating the Broadway cast of Mary Poppins, and singing alongside Paul McCartney in Chance and Chemistry. Other theatre credits include Judy Haynes in White Christmas for which she received a nomination for best actress, Brigadoon at Theatre Under the Stars with Adam Lambert, My Fair Lady at Papermill Playhouse, and originating the role of Friederike in the off Broadway play All Through the Night.
Previous to joining Broadway, Michelle danced professionally for New Jersey Ballet, Greensboro Ballet, Lexington Ballet, and was a trainee at the Richmond Ballet, performing roles from the Sugar Plum Fairy in the Nutcracker to Balanchine's Serenade. She studied ballet at the American Ballet Theatre School in New York, Virginia School of the Arts, and Nutmeg Conservatory and she studied vocal performance in New York with Marianne Challis and with David Castonguay at Radford University. On screen, Michelle has starred in films including Across the Universe and The Bounce Back and has appeared on television in shows including Criminal Minds, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, and The View.
Along with being the co-founder of Danscend, Michelle's educational experience includes traveling as faculty with Fluid Dance Convention, DanceMakers Convention and Competition, Hussian College (associate dean of undergraduate studies), Broadway classroom, UCLA, The McDonald College, Broadway Dance Center, Musical Theatre Competitions of America, Los Angeles Arts Collective, and much more.
Michelle has an MBA from Western Governor’s University, a BA in English from Virginia Commonwealth University, and she is a published author (Rowman and Littlefield - Making it Werk: A Dancer's Guide to the Business of Dance). She is currently the co-chair of the dance division at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in Los Angeles (AMDA) and in her spare time, she enjoys long-distance running (NY marathon and others), kickboxing, and fantasy football. Her passion is balancing empowering young artists to step confidently into their best selves through fun and inclusive artistry with being a present and thoughtful mom and spouse.
